Three Rivers Resort is located in the historic mountain town of Almont, Colorado, alongside the gurgling Taylor River. The resort features cabins that date back to the 1800′s and are just a short walk from the merging of the Taylor and East Rivers that form the Gunnison River. Three Rivers Outfitting offers experienced guides in the valley for rafting, fishing and kayaking. All activities are offered through the on-site outfitting shops. Additionally, they can help you book hot air balloon rides, ATV rentals, 4 wheel drive tours, horseback riding, rock climbing, mountain biking and hiking. It’s essentially one-stop shopping for recreation!
Willowfly Anglers – Willowfly Anglers is a full-service fly shop and Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Outfitter located at Three Rivers Resort in Almont, Colorado. They are at 8,000 feet in the Rockies, at the gateway to the Taylor Canyon – where the Taylor River merges with the East River to form the Gunnison River. As an Orvis authorized dealer they carry the main Orvis tackle items, including rods, reels, waders and boots. Our fly shop is stocked throughout the season with all the flies, and tackle and accessories you’ll need to fish the rivers in our area. Stop in and visit Dennis and the crew, and they will help gear you up for a great day on the river.
Their guide service offers half and full-day fishing trips for all levels of anglers. Choose from a walk/wade trip or a more advanced float trip. We also offer full-day private fishing walk/wade trips on private water.
Located between Crested Butte and Gunnison at the junction of the Gunnison, Taylor and East Rivers, Three Rivers Resort is the ideal locale for your Colorado Mountain vacation. They offer a variety of lodging options from one-room to four-bedroom cabins, vacation homes, and lodge rooms. Homes and cabins are fully equipped with grills, kitchens, linens and picnic tables. A few cabins have Taylor River frontage with private fishing just steps away.
A general store, laundry, and payphones are located on the premises. Schedule a kayaking, rafting or fishing trip under guide services. The general store includes a gift shop, paddle shop, Orvis fly fishing shop, activities desk, groceries, gas and a summertime restaurant. The Smokehouse restaurant with an outdoor patio serves three meals a day in the summer and includes specialties like ribs, brisket and catfish. Catering is also available for special events.
Three Rivers Smokehouse – Open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., the Smokehouse offers a scrumptious breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is offered at the counter and you can either take it to go or sit in the indoor seating area. The outdoor patio is open for seating if it’s warm enough (mornings can be quite chilly).
Try Tommy’s popular “scromlet,” breakfast burrito or breakfast sandwich. Then for lunch and dinner, they offer full table service on the outdoor patio including a beer and wine bar. Quench your thirst and feed your hunger after a long day on the river with tasty ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken and burgers. You can also enjoy a nice selection of soups, salads and sandwiches. Each evening there is also a featured special. Anything can be ordered to go if you’d rather eat dinner at your cabin or get a boxed lunch for a picnic.

The Dance Hall – Used by original settlers for dancing, this is now the indoor recreation hall with games, books, tables, restroom and kitchen. Come by for Potluck Bingo weekly during the summer or reserve your own party!
