An Interview with Chris “Oz” Osmundson at Flatiron Sports Crested Butte Colorado
Flatiron Sports has been at the base of Crested Butte Ski Area for over 30 years. They are a full-service ski/snowboard rental and retail shop on Mt. Crested Butte, and locally owned by Western State College graduates Chris “Oz” Osmundson and GJ Santelli for the last 31 years. Their experienced and friendly staff is there to help you with all of your on-mountain needs, from selecting clothing and gear to providing tips for skiing the mountain’s legendary extreme terrain.
I have personally purchased skis and gear at Flatiron and their staff is excellent. Both Kathy and Kathy were very helpful when I recently visited the shop recently to purchase my wife a new ski outfit for Christmas! As well Flatiron Sports’ Brock and Dan Bob were voted “Best Ski Tuners”in the Crested Butte News’ “Best of the Butte” 2012 poll!
Flatiron Sports is located in the Treasury Center on Mt. Crested Butte, and their shop is conveniently located just a stone’s throw away from the ski lifts, CBMR Guest Services, restaurants, lodging, Adventure Park and the free Mountain Express shuttle bus.
