The brand new Center for the Arts building is Open! I recently got the opportunity to visit with Jillian Liebl – Development Director at the Crested Butte Center for the Arts to talk about the new building, the Winter programs, and the finishing touches and capital campaign final push!

Center for the Arts Crested Butte New Building Open
The Center for the Arts new building is open! My wife Francene and I got the opportunity to go for the “Sound Check” Night as two local bands performed in the theater.
We sat in the balcony and marveled at the beauty of the facility – the theater is multi-functional and can seat up to 325 people for a performance. The special seating system folds back into a wall to reveal a beautiful wood floor and open space for other functions.
What’s Inside the Center for the Arts Crested Butte New Building?
In addition to the theater space that is designed with state of the art sound and acoustics there are many additional performance rooms, galleries, studios, conference rooms, decks, patios…
The lobby space as you walk into the Center is spectacular, with large floor to ceiling windows, exposed beams, two levels, and has a large display showing the performance in the theater. There is ample gathering space and two bars to serve drinks.
Donate to the Crested Butte Center for the Arts!
This new Center for the Arts building is an absolute asset to the Crested Butte community. Over $19 million has been raised to fund the the building. However, an additional $1 million is needed for the final finish-out inside the building. This includes everything from theatre equipment and lights to 
furniture and fixtures for the galleries. A generous donor has pledged $500,000 in matching funds – so your donation will double with this matching program!
There are many Naming Opportunities available – and there is a beautiful Donor Wall that will permanently display the donor names.
