Crested Butte Alley Loop Nordic Marathon
This year marks the 35th Crested Butte Alley Loop Nordic Marathon. Most events have been cancelled due to covid – the Alley Loop Nordic Marathon is adapting to ensure the race goes on in a healthy safe format. The Alley Loop will be over 2 days – Saturday February 6th and Sunday February 7th.
Because we are Crested Butte – this is a race and an awesome costume party and a nordic ski marathon right through the streets of downtown Crested Butte. Make your way to the groomed trails and experience the winter beauty. For the avid Nordic skier – this is a great race because it offers something for everyone ranging from 1K to 42K for distance options.

Alley Loop Street Closures & Restrictions
No Parking Areas
There will be no parking on 3rd street (East side of the street from Totem Pole Park to Teocalli Ave/West side of Street from Teocalli Ave to Butte Ave) There will also be no parking on 2nd street (East side of right of way from Gotchi/Teocalli Alley to Teocalli/Butte Alley) & Gothic/Teocalli Alley (Between 2nd and 3rd)
Street Closures
Street closures include Elk Avenue, Elk/Maroon Alley, Teocalli/Butte Alley, Sopris/Whiterock Alley, 1st street and 3rd street. Credit: Crested Butte Nordic News
This event is hosted by Crested Butte Nordic and should be a great time! This is your chance to break out the funny costumes and ski through the beautiful town of Crested Butte. And remember, there will be street closures and restrictions for parking! If you aren’t wanting to ski, they are always in need of volunteers. Come on out this weekend and have some Crested Butte fun!
