Crested Butte Rubber Duckie Race
I really enjoy being a part of the Crested Butte / Mt. Crested Butte Rotary Club. One of my favorite events of the year – and our Annual Fundraiser is the Crested Butte Rubber Duckie Race.
Proceeds go to support over $20,000 in College scholarships for local kids, as well we give away lots of money to deserving local non-profits, and have funded lots of national and international projects as well.
Do YOU have your Duck in the Race?
A Duck Raffle Ticket is $10 or $100 for a full book which gets you a free T-Shirt!
The ticket stub also has a $10 credit toward food at three great restaurants in Crested Butte
Let me know if you need to get your Duck Tickets – We Appreciate Your Support of our Community!
Each year we raise approximately $50,000+ selling ducks, hats and T-Shirts. We get a local Artist to create the magic artwork that goes on the Poster and T-Shirts.
The Poster – Local Artist
This year artist Blair Garth designed and painted the original poster art – and I love the new poster! Blair lives in Pensacola Florida and she and her husband Fred and two daughters have a second home in Mt. Crested Butte they love sharing with their family and friends.
Crested Butte Rubber Duckie Race
When – always during ArtsFest Weekend.
Sunday at 2:00pm is the start of the Annual Rubber Duckie Race – the ducks will be dumped into Coal Creek at Sopris and Second Ave, and continue through town until the winners reach the finish line at Totem Pole Park – Maroon and 3rd Avenue.
The Rubber Duckie Race is hosted by the Crested Butte / Mt. Crested Butte Rotary Club and is their sole fundraiser for the year. Donations to get your Duck in the race are only $10 and can be purchased throughout the Summer on the weekends in front of the Post Office or Clarks Market on Saturdays and usually Sundays at the Farmers Market… also available at the booth during the Arts Fest Weekend
People often ask me: “What makes Crested Butte special?”
For sure the Crested Butte Rotary Club and Crested Butte Rubber Duckie Race is a great part of the character of Crested Butte.
There are lots of great non-profits in the Crested Butte area – and the Rotary Club is a great group of people who work hard to give back and have fun doing it…
Crested Butte Real Estate
There are many great reasons to own a Crested Butte Second Home. The character of the people in Crested Butte is just one of the many things that may appeal to you. There are plenty of luxury homes and high-end ski-in / ski-out condos at the base area and great values throughout the Crested Butte area..
In many ways the character and attitude of the early ranchers and miners in Crested Butte has transcended time. In Crested Butte the skiing is great, the scenery is awesome, the recreational activities in the Gunnison Valley are endless, and the people are warm, friendly and real.
Buying a home in Crested Butte could be the beginning of your journey as it has been for me and my family…
