Festivals, Events and Concerts in Crested Butte
Starting from January 18, 2013 Crested Butte invites tourists to the 2nd annual Songwriters Festival. The celebration will feature a varied collection of top songwriters including Marti Frederiksen, Dean Dillon, Colin Lake, Tyles Hansen, Bill Dowel, The Heard, and more. Benefit from live entertainment, listen to the stories, and enjoy the voices because the festival will certainly keep everyone entertained.
The performances will take place in some of Crested Butte’s hottest spots such as the The Eldo, Maxwell’s, Lobar, and Talk of the Town. On January 27 Suzy Bogguss will delight travelers will her country songs, and the music concert will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 and the whole event will happen at the Crested Butte Center for the Arts. On January 17 you’ll have the chance to taste a wide variety of wines and champagnes at the Gunnison Art Center; the workshop will cost $30 and it will begin at 6 p.m.
Between January 18 and January 31, the Center for the Arts in Crested Butte will exhibit the works of Dawn Cohen, an extremely talented local artist, and the opening reception will be organized on January 19, starting from 4 p.m. Those passionate about art should also attend the ‘ART’rageous Days of the Art on January 26. The event will include a gallery show, various art demonstrations, dance & theatre performances, and more.
