Creative people who live in Crested Butte, take note! The second session of the evening wheel pottery class at Gunnison Arts Center will start on Tuesday, October 22nd. Class begins at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. The class is designed so that busy people who live in Crested Butte can still get some time to be creative. The class meets every Tuesday evening through November 5th and there is an optional fourth session on November 12th. Students can use that extra session to finish up projects independently or practice their pottery skills. This session will be taught by Donna Rozman. You’ll be able to take your projects to show off to your family in your Crested Butte home.
The evening wheel class is open to beginning and experienced potters aged 16 and over. Class size is small. The instructor is able to pay close attention to the interests of each class member. There will also be plenty of time for one-on-one interaction between the students and the instructor. Cost for the session is $85. If you’re interested in pottery and you live in Crested Butte, keep in mind that there will be one more session offered from November 21st through December 12th. It’s open for those who have taken previous sessions and those who have not. The instructor for the last session will be Karen Immerso. If you’re able to take more than one session, you’ll learn multiple approaches to pottery from the different instructors.
