We got snow yesterday – but sunny and warm today… I got the opportunity to get out and do some fly fishing on the Taylor River, see photo of beautiful cutthroat trout below.

Summer is coming – Visitors will come who recognize Crested Butte is a special place to be with family. Some people have told me they may not come to CB this summer – then I ask: “well then where are you going to go instead…?”

Visiting anywhere is going to be “different” this summer. Visitors will come to Crested Butte because they can get out and enjoy the beauty of our hundreds of miles of trails, rivers, streams, waterfalls, lakes, reservoirs, mountain summits, and golf courses.

When we lived in Texas we could not wait to get out of the heat, and I suspect that people want out of their homes and lock-down more than ever, and can’t wait for the cool mountain air, the beautiful wildflowers… I hope to see you soon!
