Crested Butte Bacchanale Restaurant Video Interview I recently had the opportunity to talk with owner/chef Kate Ladoulis about the new Bacchanale Italian Kitchen in historic downtown Crested Butte.
In a short time the new Bacchanale has become a well respected Crested Butte restaurant, and one of my family’s favorites for dinner – they offer a gourmet experience and a great fun atmosphere. Located on Elk Avenue between 3rd and 2nd (just down from the Post Office) in the heart of historic downtown Crested Butte.
The Bacchanale has been a local favorite in Crested Butte, Colorado for 40 years. Acquired in 2012 by new owners Kate & Chris Ladoulis, the team that launched django’s restaurant in 2008, the all-new Bacchanale has relaunched with their vision of modest Italian cuisine.
Reasonably priced with friendly service, and they pride themselves on their fresh and light menu with simple flavors, colorful salads, artisan flatbreads and handmade specialties. Some of my wife’s favorites are the “byob”: build your own bruschetta, she also always orders the brussels sprouts salad that has kale,arugula, toasted almonds, parmesan, lemon-dijon dressing, and someone at the table will rave over the Bacchanale meatballs: three big meatballs sauteed with fresh herbs and garlic.
This is one more reason Crested Butte has been called “the last great Colorado ski town” – if you are looking for a great dinner or a relaxing appetizer and drink with friends or family – Bacchanale is a great Crested Butte option.
