My Journey to Crested Butte Real Estate
I first arrived in Crested Butte in 1999 and purchased a second home with my brother Rick. From the beginning, this place felt special — and over the years it became the backdrop for a lifetime of memories with family, friends, and clients.
After 10 years as second homeowners, I managed to convince my wife Francene and our three teenage daughters to move from Dallas, Texas to Crested Butte full-time.
In June of 2009, we pulled into town, and I earned my real estate license.
“Moving from Dallas to Crested Butte was a great transition for us — and we have embraced the mountain lifestyle. We were second homeowners for 10 years, and we have lived full-time in Crested Butte for 17 years. I am able to really understand and help my real estate clients because I have been in their shoes…”
I’ve personally bought and sold multiple properties, and we completed a major remodel of our home — a 20-month project that gave me even deeper insight into what buyers, sellers, and homeowners experience.
We love the Crested Butte community, and I feel fortunate to share this special place with family, friends, and clients.

Before real estate, I had a successful career in technology sales and management, and also built a marketing and real estate business with a partner.
When I entered real estate in 2009 — during the recession — I began making major strides quickly.

Since then, I’ve helped over 500 clients successfully buy and sell homes and land in the Crested Butte area.

Fly Fishing: My Crested Butte Passion
Fly fishing in the Crested Butte area is my passion.
There’s something special about standing in a river or stream, pursuing trout in moving water. It takes patience, precision, and calm focus — and those are qualities that also translate directly into how I work with real estate clients.
One of my favorite memories was catching a rare Palomino trout on the East River in the summer of 2022.
