About the Skyland Subdivision
The Skyland Community is a premier subdivision in Crested Butte located 3 miles South of historic downtown Crested Butte. Many people refer to Skyland as the “golf course community” because the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Championship golf course and the Clubhouse facility is located here. 
Skyland has 640 acres that backs up to Gunnison National Forest to the East and North and bounded by the Slate River on the West and Brush Creek Road to the South. Skyland sits at the base of majestic Mt. Crested Butte.
Property owners in Skyland enjoy fishing rights on the Slate River and Lake Grant, as well as many walking and bike paths. Hike along the Upper and Upper Upper loop and take Tony’s Trail into historic downtown Crested Butte – or ride your townie bike on a level improved trail from Skyland into town. There is a school bus service within the community for the kids enrolled in the blue ribbon Crested Butte Community School. To assure the quality living Sklyand set out to achieve, there are protective covenants and design guidelines. Skyland has low annual community dues of approximately $200 per year that goes to common area landscaping, maintenance of bike paths, pavilion, signs, and plowing for the snowy season.

There are many Member events that bring everyone together that are fun and create lasting friendships. Designed by world-renowned course architect, Robert Trent Jones II, this championship golf course is one of Colorado’s hidden gems.The course is known for its meticously maintained Championship-quality fairways and greens. Its five sets of tees assure a challenging round for golfers of all levels. This mountain course with elevated tee boxes provides a challenging experience and beautiful vista of the surrounding Elk Mountain Range. There is a full driving range and putting and chipping practice area.Membership – at its inception and up until about 2008 it was required to purchase real estate in the Skyland Subdivision in order to become a member of the Club – this is no longer the case. There are many members who own property in the Crested Butte Real Estate market – but outside of Skyland.
