Summer Adventure Park and Hiking at Crested Butte Mountain Resort

Summer Adventure Park and Hiking at Crested Butte Mountain ResortIf you and your family are looking for an exciting and adventurous vacation this summer that you won’t soon forget, the Summer Adventure Park at Crested Butte Mountain Resort is the place for you. There are so many activities and amenities for you and your loved ones to take advantage of, and you can enjoy the outdoor excursions that Colorado is known for while taking advantage of traditional adventure park activities.

Hiking at Crested Butte

There are a couple of trails you can hike on when you visit Summer Adventure Park like Summit Trail, which is a steep terrain that has a picnic facility at the end of the trail at the peak of Crested Butte Mountain. This trail is best for experienced hikers, since it’s filled with broken and loose rock. It’s important to follow the signs along the trail; hiking on Summit Trail makes for a great workout, since it’s one mile round-trip. The Silver Queen Trail is two miles or 4.3 miles from the bottom area to the very top of the Silver Queen lift. The trail follows a winding road that goes toward the top of the Red Lady express lift  and is a great way to see the beauty of Crested Butte park.

Additional Amenities

Crested Butte Adventure Park also has a climbing wall, which is ideal preparation if you’re thinking about going rock climbing while you’re vacationing at the park. There are also bungee trampolines and mini golf course with 18 holes. The trampolines give you a turbo-charged ride 30 feet in the air, and Climbing Pinnacle features a tower that is 28 feet with auto-belay. The miniature golf course is under the park tent, and is an enjoyable activity that everyone in the family can participate in, rain or shine. Crested Butte Adventure Park is located at a ski area base, so if you and your family visit the park during the colder months of the year, your vacation can easily be a skiing adventure. There’s a snow-tubing hill at Warming House Hill which offers an enjoyable introduction into winter sports.
