Video Interview:  David Ochs New Chamber Director  – Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce David Ochs will continue to bring energy and vibe to Crested Butte as the new Executive Director Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce – and there is a lot going on in Crested Butte in both Summer and Winter.  If you have not noticed, we are all being treated to an expansive list of events and activities here in the CB area- many are the result of the behind the scenes hard work by the Chamber of Commerce.

The Crested Butte / Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce is most visible to the visiting public at the Visitor’s Center located in Historic Downtown Crested Butte conveniently located at “the 4-way” which is at the corner of Elk Avenue & 6th Street.  There is a Chamber staff member at the Crested Butte Visitors Center to answer questions, and provide info on all there is to see and do in the Crested Butte area.  Common questions include – where to stay in Crested Butte, where to eat, what events are happening in the area, what shopping is available, what recreational activities are in Crested Butte (hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, alpine skiing, nordic skiing, dogsledding, snowmobiling, historical walking tours… and more! Visitors may also want to visit the Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce website – it has interactive maps, business information, and vacation planners. David Ochs and Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce are also very involved with the many events in the Crested Butte area – the 2014 Pro Cycling Challenge will be here this week some of the events they are responsible for hosting include the Chili & Beer Festival, The Crested Butte Bike Week in June – including the famous The Chainless Bike Race, 4th of July Parade and events, The Taste of Crested Butte the new Crested Butte Mountain High Music Festival scheduled for January and more… Crested Butte Real Estate July 4thIf you are considering moving to Crested Butte – there are many resources on the website and in the Visitors Center – Area Statistics, demographics, info about business licensing, jobs, schools, local governments and more. The hosts at the Visitors Center say one of most asked questions – is “where is that big elk?”  Answer:  It is located in the Visitors Center in Crested Butte – the Former World Record Elk was killed here in 1899 by John Plute of Crested Butte. The Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce is another organization that makes Crested Butte Colorado a special place.  Coined “The last great Colorado Ski Town” Crested Butte offers a variety in Performing and Visual Arts, Recreation, Beauty, a warm community, a Historic Downtown, and a great Ski Resort. There are some exciting announcements as well – the Biery-Witt Center in Mt.
